Amabi restaurant and tapas bar in Cowes infuses Basque Country cooking with the best fresh Isle of Wight produce. The restaurant is next to Shepards Wharf Marina on Medina Road which just a short walk from the end of the High Street towards the Floating Bridge. There is off street parking in Brunswick Road.

A typical Basque menu includes fresh line caught fish, shellfish, seasoned steaks, hearty winter soups, fresh salads, tapas, cold beers and fine wines. Our menu has all of these and uses the diverse fresh produce found here on Isle of Wight as we source many local ingredients that we use in our traditional Basque recipes.

The Basque Country enjoys a reputation for having one of the great cuisines of the world. The San Sebastián restaurant Arzak is now No 8 in the World's best restaurants with the owner's daughter, Elena Arzak Espina, voted the World's Best Female Chef in 2012. Basque cuisine is full of passion for the regional produce that comes from a landscape that stretches up from rocky coves to high mountain peaks.
